Job Description Summary
Research Specialist A to work in the area of neurotrauma research and epilepsy using large animal models in a laboratory focused on electrophysiology, behavior, and histopathology. Studies include neurosurgical procedures (brain) in large animal models, electrophysiological chronic recordings, training and behavioral assessment of animal behavior, and tissue processing/histology. Other tasks will include maintenance of logs and lab reports, surgery preparation, data analysis, retrieval of recent literature, ordering and general lab maintenance. Prior animal, neuroscience, medical, or coding experience a plus, excellent organizational skills and ability to function in a team required.

Job Description

This position is contingent on funding.

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree with 0-1 year of related experience in research and clinical study methodologies or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
