CLINICAL NURSE II- DUKE PRIMARY CARE- COVID DRIVE THRU
Independently plan and provide professional nursing care for patientsin accordance with physician orders and establ ished policies andprocedures. Provide nursing services to patients and f amilies inaccordance with the scope of the RN as defined by the North Ca rolinaBoard of Nursing.
Plan, provide, supervise and document professional nursing careutilizing the nursing process for patients in accordance with physicianorders and established p olicies and procedures. Use professional nursingjudgment to individualiz e the plan of care based on assessment of thepatient's baseline needs an d response to care.Delegate tasks and supervise the activities of other licensed andunlicensed care providers.Assist other nursing personnel in the delivery of nursing care and actas team leader or charge nurse for a group of patients or an entire unitas assigned.Monitor and initiate cor rective action to maintain the environment ofcare including equipment an d material resources.Participate in own professional development by main taining requiredcompetencies, identifying learning needs and seeking app ropriateassistance or educational offerings.Act as preceptor and support the development of other staff and formallearners.Participate in the id entification of clinical or operational performanceimprovement opportuni ties and in performance improvement activities.Perform other related dut ies incidental to the work described herein.

Work requires graduation from an accredited BSN or Associate's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program. All registered nurses without a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (or higher) will be required to enroll in an appropriate BSN program within two years of their start date and to complete the program within five years of their start date.
Twelve months of appropriate clinical experience isrequired. At a manager's discretion, employees with 6 months of experience who are exceptional performers may be eligible for this level.
Degrees, Licensures, Certifications
Must have current or compact RN licensure in the state of North Carolina. BLS required.
