Job Description:

The Kamal Adham Center for Television and Digital Journalism at the American University in Cairo invites applications for adjunct faculty positions in television/broadcast journalism in the School of Global Affairs and Public Policy.

Experienced candidates are being sought to supervise graduate students summer practicum (TVDJ 5207) through conducting frequent site visits as well as coordinating students' assigned tasks with the organization internship/practicum supervisor at the site. Candidates are expected to submit a weekly progress report for all students to the director of the Television and Digital Journalism MA program.

Highly qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.


Requirements:

Minimum academic achievement of MA in said discipline; Minimum 10 years work experience in said field; teaching experience with good evaluation is a must in said or related discipline; English proficiency is preferred.

Candidates will supervise:

TVDJ 507/5207 - Practicum: TV or Special Video Assignment (3 cr.)

Field experience at an approved television, video/digital section of a publication or TV production companies in Egypt or abroad to be conducted preferably as a six-week long summer internship or during a semester.
