Position Summary:

The School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences consists of the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and the Department of Clinical Pharmacy Practice. The unit offers B.S. in Pharmaceutical Sciences, M.S. in Pharmacology, Ph.D. in Pharmacological Sciences, and Pharm.D.

Using skills as a seasoned, experienced student services professional, provides the full range of student services for the Pharm.D. Program. Develops and implements recruitment activities, and serves as liaison for prospective students. Independently advises students and resolves student services-related issues on the full range of academic issues inherent within the organization. Advises faculty and management on a variety of student issues. Works with the school's management to recommend changes to policies, practices, and procedures.

Compensation Range:

Monthly: $3,758.33 - $5,725.00

Required:

At least 5-7 years of experience in student services or equivalent relevant experience.

Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.

Experience in academic advising and counseling techniques. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing. Multicultural competencies; ability to work with diverse populations. Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality. Ability to work independently, think critically, and take action to conduct short and long range planning. Skills in judgment and decision-making; ability to develop original ideas to solve problems; identify measures of system performance and the actions to improve performance. Ability to develop recruitment programs and create effective materials.

Preferred:

Skills in judgment and decision-making, problem solving, identifying measures of system performance and the actions to improve performance. Knowledge of University-specific computer application programs and knowledge of University policies and procedures related to student affairs.
