The Department of Neurology is seeking an individual with outstanding grants management skills and experience to independently provide pre- and post- award research and financial administration to the cognitive and clinical neuroscience investigators. The successful candidate will provide pre- and post-award research and financial administration support for Neurology investigators. Will supervise one to two grant coordinators. Specific responsibilities include proposal preparation, budget development, subcontract setup and monitoring, effort allocation and payroll, transaction approval and monitoring, reporting, and general business services. This position reports to the Administrative and Financial Officer (AFO) within the Department and has a dotted reporting line to the PSOM Office of Research Support Services.
A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or other business field and at least 5-7 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience are required, along with experience in general accounting practices, sponsor projects, pre award and post award management. Excellent organizational skills, interpersonal skills and abilities to work under pressure of deadlines and with attention to detail are required. Knowledge of sponsored program guidelines, policies and procedures for federally supported research is also required.
