Works as part of a team to provide direct support to prospective and current undergraduate and graduate students as well as their families/guardians. Evaluates financial aid applicants to determine financial aid eligibility; counsels students concerning their financial aid programs and processes such as federal direct loans, federal Pell grant, federal Perkins, FSEOG, work-study, state grants and institutional aid programs; responsible for ensuring all state, federal and institutional policies governing financial aid are being followed.

Financial Aid Support - Administrative

Job Duties

Manages donor stewardship activities for the Advancement Office. This includes overseeing the 50 Year Club activities; representing the Advancement Office at campus and community events; communicating electronically to all donors and prospective donors; initiate and answer correspondence for Annual and Leadership Giving functions; and responsible for implementing all gift processing and acknowledgment activities including the receipt, accounting, reporting, deposit and acknowledgment of gifts and pledges received through the Advancement Office. Other duties as assigned.

Financial Aid Support - Student / Families

Job Duties

Responsible for counseling prospective and current undergraduate and graduate students and their families regarding financial aid. This includes completing the FAFSA forms, entrance and exit interviews of student borrowers for Federal Direct Student Loans, Master Promissory Note (MPN) and Federal Verification review for selected students; analyzing and processing financial aid applications including file review, needs analysis, financial aid packaging and federal verification; awards students with appropriate financial

Oversees the University’s fundraising database. This includes managing a wide variety of functions relating to the development, implementation, maintenance, documentation, use and support of the University’s Advancement Information Systems. Will create documents, spreadsheets, timelines and reports. Other duties as assigned.

General Support

Job Duties

Provides administrative and technical support to all members of the Advancement Office. Will assist with proofreading publications such as brochures, invitations, manuals and reports; responsible for training and supervising student workers. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Education Level Required

Bachelor’s Degree

Minimum Experience Level Required

One year of related experience.

Physical Demands Required

Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear and use hands to handle and feel objects; reach with hands and arms and climb or balance; occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; lift and / or move up to 20lbs; have vision abilities that include close vision; distance vision; color vision; peripheral vision; depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

Regularly exposed to moderate noise level in an office setting.

Compliance Responsibilities Required

Collect, identify, date and store documentation for the department and compliance area as mandated by the Compliance Program. Ensures certification and qualifications are maintained per job description.

Other
