Perform general carpentry work to include building, installing, repairing and maintaining of structures, furniture, doors, windows, etc. as directed. Operate associated power and hand tools and equipment. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: supervisors, lead carpentry personnel, co-workers. This position typically will advise and counsel: NA. This position will supervise: NA.Responsibilities
Job Duty 1 -
Build and install door and window framings; install locks, door knobs and other hardware.
Job Duty 2 -
Repair and maintain doors, floors, windows, partitions, ceiling and building exteriors.
Job Duty 3 -
Build, repair and refinish wood furniture and fixtures to include cabinets, tables, shelving, bulletin boards, etc.
Job Duty 4 -
Maintain carpentry tools in working order.
Job Duty 5 -
Erect, maintain and dismantles walls and structures.
Job Duty 6 -
Perform other duties as assigned
High school diploma, GED Certificate or Vocational School Diploma
Two to four years of job related experience
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Valid Georgia Driver's License
Preferred Educational Qualifications
Technical Diploma, Associate's Degree or two years college course work
This job requires basic carpentry trade skills to include ability to read sketches, prints and diagrams; operate and maintain various hand and power tools to include planers, jointers, drill presses, power saws and sanders. Knowledge of applicable safety rules and practices is required.
