General Description
College of the Sequoias Community College District is seeking qualified adjunct faculty to teach within its Computer Sciences Department.

Adjunct faculty assignments may include weekend and/or evening classes at the Visalia Campus, the Hanford Educational Center, or the Tulare College Center.

Adjunct faculty applications which meet the required minimum qualifications are kept on file for one year from the date the application is received.

Adjunct faculty positions are temporary positions and do not accrue rights to tenure.

Job Duties
Under the general direction of a dean or director, adjunct faculty will provide comprehensive classroom instruction to community college students.

Qualifications
The minimum qualifications for this position are:
Master's in computer science or computer engineeringORBachelor's in either of the aboveANDMaster's in mathematics, cybernetics, business administration, accounting or engineeringORBachelor's in engineeringANDMaster's in cybernetics, engineering, mathematics, or business administrationORBachelor's in mathematicsANDMaster's in cybernetics, engineering, mathematics, or business administrationORBachelor's degree in any of the aboveANDA master's degree in information science, computerinformation systems, or information systemsORThe equivalent.
(NOTE: Courses in the use of computer programs for application to a particular discipline may be classified for minimum qualifications purposes, under the discipline of the application.)

Organization

College of the Sequoias is a two-year California community college offering educational and enrichment programs for the residents of its district in Tulare and Kings counties. The college was established in 1925 and moved to its current 62-acre main campus site in Visalia in 1940.

In addition to the campus in Visalia, COS operates a full-service center in Hanford that is also home to the college's police and fire academies.

COS also opened its Tulare College Center in January 2013. It is a full-service college center and the home of COS' agriculture program
