Research Assistant - Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center (LCCC)

Georgetown University Medical Center is seeking an entry level junior Research Assistant who will work in the lab of Dr. Fung-Lung Chung, a tenured professor's lab at LCCC and who will report directly to him as well as work closely with senior members of that lab. The position is required to work with the Shared Resources at the Cancer Center. Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Perform isolating circulating tumor cells (CTC) research with blood from liver cancer patients
  • Perform immunocytochemisty
  • Perform HPLC and immno-based assays
  • Perform instrument maintenance
  • Organize data
  • Manuscript preparation
  • Write annual report

    This position is required by our 5-year UO1 grant from NCI to work on method development for a biomarker to predict liver cancer recurrence.


    • Biochemist with a graduate degree, at least a MS, who has been trained in cell biology with experience in bio-analytical research as a plus.
