Department:Office of Human ResourcesSalary:Commensurate with experienceCity/State:Education:Master's DegreeType:StaffExperience:3-5 years of research administration experience in higher education or comparable organizationWork Schedule:Contact Name:Contact Email:Date Posted:11/21/2019Description:QUALIFICATIONS:•Bachelor’s degree required; master’s preferred•3-5 years of research administration experience in higher education or comparable organization•Experience with STEM, NSF and NIH grants is desirable•Knowledge of and commitment to the mission of College•A broad knowledge of office practices, policies and procedures, and expertise in standard office software programs is required•Excellent verbal and written communication skills•Organizational skills necessary to meet multiple timelines and due dates•Experience in proofreading and preparing reports and manuscripts is desired•Experience in preparing grant applications and IRB submissions is beneficialRESPONSIBILITIES:•Identifies, and facilitates the pursuit of new funding opportunities that support strategic initiatives of the College. Develop strong working relationships with funders that contribute positively to JCC's reputation as a grantee/partner that is committed to the highest standards of excellence.•Facilitate proposal development meetings with faculty/staff (goals, objectives, implementation activities, evaluation methods, time lines, project staffing, and project management) to implement programs that address institutional needs.•Develop grant proposals.•Write and edit proposals (goals, objectives, activities, evaluation methods, timelines, etc.).•Develop project budgets.
