Department:Office of Human ResourcesSalary:Commensurate with ExperienceCity/State:Education:Bachelor’s Degree in Computer ScienceType:StaffExperience:3 to 5 years of job-related experienceWork Schedule:Contact Name:Contact Email:Date Posted:03/31/2020Description:QUALIFICATIONS: · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or other related technology area; · Minimum 3-5 years' experience relevant work experience in the field · Microsoft Certified Professional preferred. · Experience as an Administrator on a medium sized network of servers, desktop systems and communication devices using current technology including Jenzabar EX (CRM) and JICS/E-Racer (LMS) preferred · Effective communication, interpersonal and customer service skills · Experience with conflict resolution · Communicate with leaders on technology issues affecting the College RESPONSIBILITIES: · Demonstrate knowledge of Windows servers and desktop products · Demonstrated ability to support networked printers and photocopiers · Demonstrated working knowledge of current communication devices and protocols, server and desktop technologies · Ability to negotiate hardware/software service and technical support contracts with vendors · Ability to manage multiple projects, activities and tasks simultaneously · Highly developed verbal and written communications · Must possess an understanding of emerging technologies and their application within the academic environment · Network administration (including backup, security management, user account management, e-mail systems, web server, internet access, office systems and applications support). · Support server, network and desktop hardware, software and applications · Performs technology needs analysis · Assists with technology planning through ongoing research · Other responsibilities may be added as deemed necessary QUALITIES AND CHARACTERISTICS Demonstrates o Confidence o Enthusiasm o Initiative o Flexibility o Sound work ethics · Proven Skills o Listening skills o Team player o Great communication skills SUPERVISION AND EVALUATION · Performance of this job will be evaluated annually by the immediate supervisor in accordance with provisions of the Jarvis Christian College Administrative Policies and Procedures Manual.
