Provide professional level support of human resources functions within a unit. Includes serving as information resource on human resources related processes and procedures as well as initiating and processing of HR documentation. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: unit management and staff, Office of Human Resources staff. This position typically will advise and counsel: unit managers and staff. TEMP-Human Resources Operation
Serve as a unit-level contact for HR-related processes and procedures
Review and coordinate process of hiring requests from unit management
Coordinate activities associated with employee on-boarding and orientation; May assist with recruitment efforts and selection process
Initiate and/or process HR-related documentation (hiring packages, posting requests, schedules and reports, etc.)
Respond to inquiries regarding Institute and departmental HR policies and procedures; make referrals when appropriate
Six to seven years of job related experience
Technical Diploma, Associate's Degree, two years college course work or Bachelor's Degree
This job requires a working knowledge of institutional human resources policies and procedures as applied at the unit level as well as related regulations. Interpersonal skills and spoken and written communications skills are required as is use of office and HR specialized computer applications.
This is not a supervisory position.
