Job Summary

Lead and manage purchasing activities and personnel for central purchasing operations ensuring compliance with established by Federal, State and Institute policies. Responsible for setting employee goals, assessing employee performance and providing feedback, and making pay recommendations.This position will interact on a regular basis with: faculty, staff, vendors and external stakeholders. This position typically will advise and counsel: faculty, staff, vendors and external stakeholders. This position will supervise: assigned unit staff.

Responsibilities Job Duty 1 Assist in the development and tactical implementation of purchasing strategy and manage day to day activities of assigned purchasing staff.Job Duty 2 Perform and provide oversight and support for department activities ensuring compliance with established by Federal, State and Institute policies.Job Duty 3 Serve as a liaison and assist in maximizing process efficiencies for campus administrators and purchasing agents.Job Duty 4 Support and oversee efforts related to purchasing technology development and implementation.Job Duty 5 Perform other duties as assignedRequired Qualifications

Education Requirement

Bachelors Dregree in Operations, Management or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Work Experience Requirement

Five to seven years of job related experience

Preferred Education Experience

Master's Degree

Preferred Certifications

CPSM Certification
