General Accounting Manager

Job Summary

This position provides support to the Assistant Comptroller and works to maintain a complete and accurate general ledger. Completes monthly bank reconciliations, quarterly general ledger account reconciliations, journal entries, and initiates wire transfers. Serves as administrator for two commercial banking applications. Serves as lead project accountant and responsible for creating new SAP accounts. Assists in the completion of various financial reports, including; FINRPT & NCAA.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Proficiency in MS Office products with an emphasis on Excel
  • Knowledge of accounting software/programs (SAP preferred)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Cultural competency as it relates to working with communities of color
Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA or MBA
  • Experience in Higher Education
  • Experience with Fund Accounting
  • Experience working with external auditors
  • Fluency in Spanish at a native speaker level

The anticipated starting salary for this position is $65,000 - $72,000. commensurate with experience.
