Position Summary

Provide academic advisement to current graduate students in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Interpret applicable University policies and procedures, program requirements, acceptable electives, and alternative/substitute courses. Plan and implement recruitment and orientation activities. Facilitate seminars and events that enhance the academic experience and professional development of graduate students. Interface with appropriate University offices and departments to expedite processing of on-line graduation tracking, transfer credit evaluations and reviews, program development and substitutions. Respond to inquiries concerning the School, department, and program offerings.


Required Education:Master's Degree Communicative Sciences and Disorders or Speech Pathology.Required Experience:2+ years student advisement, recruitment, admissions, counseling, or related experience.Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills; ability to work both independently as well as part of a team; ability to plan and deliver special events and seminars. Proficiency with various computer applications.Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Leadership abilities desirable, Albert SIS, UDW+, social media and other technologies.
