Job Summary

This is a part-time (19 hours per week) position providing administrative support for university human resources functions.

Responsibilities
    Provides support for employee benefits functions. (30%)Advises employees and retirees on insurance programs and benefits.Assists in the preparation and dissemination of annual open enrollment benefits information to employees and retirees.Assists in the coordination of the annual open enrollment benefits fair.Assists active and retired employees with problems related to insurance benefits.
Provides support for employee recruitment and hiring functions. (30%)Assists in the administration of pre-employment and random drug tests for high-risk employees.Processes incoming and outgoing employees.Assists with new employee orientation.Assists in the coordination of new employee background checks.Performs a variety of other administrative functions. (30%)Prepares personnel and other change notices and distributes to appropriate areas.Provides administrative support to the Director in researching and compiling data for special projects.Works with supervisors and employees to review job descriptions as needed.Performs a variety of related duties. (10%)Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Demonstrated related experience required.
