Performs experiments for a research project, including performing literature searches, designing experimental plans and analyzing data and interpreting results, and also preparing relevant manuscripts, reports, and/or presentations.

Position Summary:

This is a position in the Department of Textiles, Merchandising, and Interiors in the College of Family and Consumer Sciences. The position will be performing experiments for a research project on a novel method of dyeing and finishing of textiles with different colors and functional particles. It will also be managing laboratory inventory and waste disposal.

Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in Position:

Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies :

Standard laboratory skills. Skill in operating and maintaining laboratory instruments. Ability to work well with others. Ability to organize and report data. Ability to communicate effectively. Critical thinking skills. Strong organizational skills.
