The University of Virginia Department of Family Medicine seeks applicants for a tenure-ineligible faculty position, at the rank of instructor, to serve as a Faculty Development Fellow. The Fellowship program is designed to provide the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in the role of academic faculty in medical school departments and community residency programs. The incumbent will have multiple and varied opportunities to experience growth as a clinician, teacher and scholar under the guidance of skilled, experienced faculty members. The selected candidate will: participate in classwork and assignments for the one-year Fellowship program; teach in a variety of settings within the Department of Family Medicine; and provide care to Family Medicine patients in the outpatient clinic; OB and inpatient care are optional and upon approval of the Fellowship Steering Committee.

- Board-certified or board eligible by the American Board of Family Medicine or the Osteopathic Family Medicine Board required by the start date.
Job requires sitting/standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping/walking (distance: 1 – 2 miles/day)
