Participate in conducting audits of information systems to test/verity the adequacy of internal controls and meet objectives as outlined in the audit program. Assignments may require working independently on an assigned audit or as a member of an audit team. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: various campus units' management and staff; audit staff management and members. This position typically will advise and counsel: NA. Job Duty 1 -
Review systems audit assignments to ensure understanding of specific objectives and plans.
Job Duty 2 -
Obtain information and access required to complete systems audit tasks.
Job Duty 3 -
Perform audit tests and related procedures as prescribed by audit program which may involve review of system components such as networks, applications and operating systems.
Job Duty 4 -
Formulate findings and recommendations based on audit results.
Job Duty 5 -
Document course of audit processes followed including conclusion and recommendations.
Job Duty 6 -
During course of audit, identify business risks and make recommendations to effectively address them.
Job Duty 7 -
Interact effectively with department management and staff during course of audit and presentation of findings.
Job Duty 8 -
Perform other duties as assigned
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
Four to five years of job related experience
This job requires knowledge of basic operations associated with networks, applications, operating systems and desktop/portable computing. Skills in time management, written communications and presentation are required as are those in basic auditing principles and standard practices especially as they apply to information systems.
CiSSP ((Certified Information Systems Security Professional) or CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) certification or equivalent experience.Equal Employment Opportunity
