Office of the DeanJob Description The Office of the Dean department at the UMKC School of Computing and Engineering seeks qualified candidates for the position of AVR Coordinator. In this role, the successful candidate will coordinate day-to-day operations for Augmented and Virtual Reality (AVR) facilities within the SCE Free Enterprise and Research Center. The ideal candidate should have a record of demonstrated ability to collaborate successfully, manage multiple priorities, and positively engage with others. Job duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinate day-to-day operations, scheduling, and maintenance of the Augmented and Virtual Reality (AVR) facilities within the SCE Free Enterprise and Research Center (FEC). Coordinate in-house training, events, tours, and hands-on demos for faculty, students, and industry.Assist the academic departments and noncredit programs in creating, identifying and scheduling programming for students, community, and partners.Provide maintenance, support, assistance, and troubleshooting of AVR computing and visualization resources.Promote and facilitate involvement of faculty, students, and the greater Kansas City community to utilize and develop for AVRExecute teaching duties in AVR coursework, minimum of one class per semester plus summer (9 credit hours or equivalent per year).
- A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology preferred.5+ years of experience in business or entrepreneurship preferred.University teaching experience preferred.
$50,000 - $60,000 Annual, commensurate with education and experience.Application Deadline
