Shuttle Bus Driver
Provide and maintain a safe and secure environment in which academicpursuits may flourish, in accordance with the established goals of theUniversity of Colorado, through service in the following area:
TRANSPORTATIONSERVICES: Provide daily shuttle services for students to and from far parkinglots, provide Charter services to departments needing to transportstudents/faculty/staff to locations off UCCS property.
This 50% position will only work during theFall, Spring and Summer terms each year, which is approximately 40 weeks peryear, working an average of 20 hours per week. This position will notwork during academic semester breaks.
Providesafe, dependable transportation on and around the campus area.
Assistwith light maintenance of vehicles, refueling vehicles, cleaning vehicles andperformance of vehicle safety inspections.
Beavailable to drive for other drivers that have called in sick or are otherwiseunable to work their regular shift.
Drivecharters for athletic teams, school organizations and others as required.
Safelyassist loading, unloading and securing of disabled passengers in a professionalmanner
Trainingcampus community to drive motor pool vans.
Performpre-trip and post-trip inspections with a high degree of accuracy and safety.
Fueland DEF buses when required.
Maintainproper passenger counts and related paperwork.
Usegood judgment when need arises to alter assigned routes due to trafficconditions.
Beprepared to work any time of day or night, to include weekends.
Assistwith light office duties such as data entry, filing paperwork, and makingcopies.
Assistwith cleaning of vehicles.
Otherassigned duties as needed.
Beable to safely operate 40 foot buses.
Drivein a legal and safe manner at all times.
Provideminor vehicle maintenance such as replacing tail lamps and headlights.
Officeduties such as filing paperwork or computer data entry.
This position has been determined to be eligible for overtime(non-exempt) under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
Hourly Pay Rate: $16.19

Maintaina Colorado CDL- Class B or higher, DOT physical cardMusthave a passenger endorsement on CDL with airbrakes.
Mustmaintain a valid DOT physical card at all times.
Routinelypass random drug and alcohol screening tests
Oneyear of driving experience.
Two years of driving experience
