Located at the UNTHSC campus in Fort Worth, the UNT System College of Pharmacy joined colleges/schools of Osteopathic Medicine, Public Health, Health Professions and the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences in 2013. The UNT System College of Pharmacy graduated its first class and received accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) in 2017.

Position Summary

The University of North Texas System College of Pharmacy (UNTSCP) is inviting applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor position with a specialty area in either Ambulatory Care or Internal Medicine for the Department of Pharmacotherapy. This individual will serve as a College of Pharmacy faculty member who will enhance the UNTHSC vision and mission while making meaningful contributions to the profession of pharmacy and the community.

*Works under the leadership of the Department Chair to deliver PharmD curriculum for Professional years 1 – 4 (PY1, PY2, PY3, PY4) as it relates to the Pharmacy practice components of professional pharmacy education.

*Works under the leadership of the Department Chair to continuously improve the PharmD curriculum for Professional years 1 – 4 (PY1, PY2, PY3, PY4) as it relates to the Pharmacy practice components of professional pharmacy education.

*Contributes to a culture of scholarly excellence within the Department through research that ensures that the faculty member remains on the cutting edge of their chosen areas of research and scholarly activity relevant to the future of Pharmacy.

*Work closely with primary care providers to provide clinical pharmacy services to patients.

*Works closely with and collaborates with inter professional clinical practice leadership.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must have graduated from an ACPE accredited Pharmacy program and be eligible to practice Pharmacy in Texas.

Preferred Qualifications

Applicants are preferred to have completed a post-graduate year one (PGY1) plus post-graduate year two (PGY2) program in ambulatory care, or an acute care specialty such as internal medicine or pharmacotherapy, or similar fellowship training, or possess five years of academic/clinical experience in ambulatory care or internal medicine.
