Preferred QualificationsPosition SummaryThis position is responsible for marketing conferences and events offered by University colleges and departments. A person occupying this position will also schedule and coordinate various types of events and services, including security, technical arrangements, various services and staffing.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or CompetenciesKnowledge of budgeting and accounting principles and practices, knowledge of scheduling, operations, and contract administration, knowledge of supervisory practices and principles, knowledge of technical requirements for various events, skills in public relations and communications in marketing services.
Physical DemandsLong hours of standing/walking. Move loads up to 50 lbs., including unloading and stocking, and push/pull activity with products weighing up to 50 lbs.; perform duties with repetitive motion of wrists, arm, and shoulder, possess hand and finger coordination; reach, climb, balance, crouch, twist, crawl, and kneel; and work in noisy, hot/cold environments with chemicals, cleaning equipment, dust, fumes, and odors.

Duties/Responsibilities Duties/ResponsibilitiesHelps generate revenue by marketing programs and events for various university, colleges and department.
Books and schedules facility and services.
Negotiates and prepares rental contract determining fees and terms of contract.
Estimates costs and determines event budget.
Coordinates technical and/or other special requirements needed for the event.
Coordinates event logistics with Catering Manager.
