Job Description Summary

The LPS Registrar is responsible for ensuring operational excellence and implementing best practices in Student Records, across all stages of a student’s career, from admission to graduation to alumni status.

Job Description

The Registrar oversees LPS student records creation and maintenance, billing and adjustments to student financial accounts, and audit and compliance of student records. The LPS Registrar supervises student records, registration, and financial accounts to ensure that LPS and Penn policies and procedures are observed and that LPS is in compliance with all relevant state and federal laws and regulations (e.g., FERPA). The LPS Registrar improves efficiency of enrolled student operations while maintaining the highest level of customer service, thereby helping to meet enrollment targets across LPS Programs. Position reports to the Director of Enrollment Management, supervises full-time professional and administrative support staff, and serves as the primary liaison with the University Registrar, Student Registration and Financial Services, the School Registrars Working Group and Pennant Records Advisory Group.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and three to five years of experience of progressively responsible experience working with higher education student systems required, or equivalent combination of education and experience; master’s degree preferred. Experience in a central function such as a Registrar's office, Student Financial Services, Student Accounts, or the equivalent required. Expertise with confidentiality and privacy directives (FERPA, etc.) required. Candidates must have a process orientation and experience developing, implementing, and documenting procedures. Candidates should have a demonstrated ability to build basic queries and reports and to conduct audit and compliance analysis, as well as excellent communication and customer service skills. Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work produced are essential. A high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel, is required. Familiarity with Penn systems, including SRS and SAJ, strongly preferred. Interested candidates should include a cover letter along with a current resume.
