The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking a Critical Care Anesthesiologist for the Adult Cardiovascular Thoracic Intensive Care Unit. This an open rank faculty position. Competitive candidates must be able to lead a critical care team of Advanced Practice Providers, collaborate with cardiac surgeons, thoracic surgeons, and vascular surgeons and interface with a multidisciplinary, inter-professional team of nursing staff and other ancillary providers in the ICU. This position will provide opportunities to work approximately 60% of the time in ICU and approximately 40% of the time in the main operating rooms and elsewhere in our Healthcare system campus providing general anesthesia services.

Educational Requirements

Requires an MD, DO or equivalent. Candidates must have completed an ACGME accredited Anesthesiology Residency program and have training in Critical Care Medicine.

Qualifications and Experience

Anesthesiology Board certified or Board eligible.
