Advertised Job Summary:The Center for Targeted Therapeutics (CTT) is seeking an experienced scientist /manager in a grant funded position. The primary responsibilities will be to assist the Director of the CTT in managing and coordinating COBRE core activities and assisting with core functions as assigned by the Director of CTT. The job will include phone, email and in-person meetings with COBRE funded investigators, CTT personnel and the university administration. The ideal candidate will be required to prepare written reports and deliver oral presentations. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for administering the funding to three COVID-19 pilot projects and assist in the selection of additional COVID-19 research projects in early 2021. The ideal candidate will also participate in the COVID-19 experimental testing protocol development.
Required Education and Experience:PhD in biology or related field, with at least 10 years research experience after the doctoral degree. Experience running a technology core, and with robotic sample handling is ideal.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:The candidate should demonstrate success in maintaining an active research program. Possess excellent administrative skills, good communication skills, and excellent organization skills with details to accuracy are required. Experience in biomedical research, and experience in grant award management. Ability to collaborate with clinicians and researchers with strong ability to coordinate and communicate with large groups of collaborators and University administration.
