Description:

The Division of Biomedical Informatics and Genomics at Tulane University School of Medicine (SOM) is seeking a faculty member at the level of Research Assistant Professor. The fundamental roles for this position will be:

  1. Develop and perform genomics, epigenomics, and gene functional research projects for osteoporosis and other related human complex disorders.
  2. Direct or co-direct the clinical and epidemiological aspects of Center for Biomedical Informatics and Genomics, which include developing study protocol and study forms for human subject recruitment, and obtaining IRB approval, etc.
  3. Provide intellectual and technical support for other research projects executed at the Center for Biomedical Informatics and Genomics.
  4. Develop NIH or other extramural grant applications.
  5. Serve as a Co-Investigator to provide technical support for development of sections of grant proposals in the Center.
  6. Participate in grant applications as Co-investigator.

Qualifications:

1. A Ph.D. / M.D. in genomic sciences, biomedical sciences, or other related areas.

2. Experience with human subject research, and wet lab-based genomics, epigenomics, and gene functional research.
