Description:

The Congenital Heart Center at the University of Florida is recruiting a Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care physician, who is fellowship trained in Pediatric Critical Care or Pediatric Cardiology. The candidate should be board certified or board eligible for their primary specialty The position includes a faculty appointment of Clinical Assistant/Associate/Full Professor at the University of Florida.  The PCICU in Gainesville is a 22 bed dedicated Cardiac Intensive Care Unit responsible for providing care to infants, children, adolescents, and adults with congenital heart disease. 

Our cardiac center is one of the largest centers in the state of Florida with equal distribution of both surgical and medical patients. We have a large Ventricular assist device program with a busy transplant service. This position will also provide pediatric cardiovascular intensive care education to residents, fellows, medical students and other health care professionals within the cardiovascular/cardiothoracic, pediatric cardiac anesthesiology, pediatric cardiology, and pediatric critical care specialties.  There are exceptional opportunities for clinical research.


Qualifications:

Required: M.D. board certified or board eligible for their primary specialty (Cardiology or Critical Care).
