Assist the Camden Center Administrative Office with clerical tasks and special projects.
This is a 19 hour per week maximum, part-time student position reporting to the Department Coordinator, the Student Services Manager, and the Camden Director/Dean. A weekly schedule will be assigned by the supervisor in conjunction with the student’s class schedule. The work schedule is subject to change between semesters or as needed. Students are not allowed to work during scheduled class time even if class is cancelled or dismissed early.
The position requires employees who are able to positively represent the Camden Center to various internal and external constituents. Student employees must have effective writing and verbal communication skills and portray a professional demeanor at all times. The position provides administrative support and assistance to students, guests, student organizations, faculty, and staff in all areas associated with the Camden Center. This position demands a high level of integrity as they may come into contact with confidential information.

Essential Duties

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
• Greets guests coming into the Administration Office.
• Maintain high level of integrity when handling confidential information.
• Serve as a resource to College of Coastal Georgia visitors for: General College or Departmental Information, Staff Locations, or as needed.
• Answer phone calls as a representative of the College, route calls to the appropriate person, and take detailed phone messages.
• Complete various office tasks including making copies, shredding paper, and creating posters, etc.
• Assist in the setup of events, programs, and meetings as needed.
• Check messages regularly throughout shift to ensure that messages are returned within 1 business day.
• Work as a team with other employees to insure a seamless experience for visitors and students.
• Accomplish various errands on campus.
• Provide office coverage in the absence of the Director/Dean, Coordinator, or Student Services Manager.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications and Training

• Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours.
• Must possess strong customer service and communication skills.
• Must be dependable.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
• Must demonstrate the ability to understand and carry out simple oral instructions.
• Must maintain a 2.0 or better GPA.

• Demonstrates excellent written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrates ability to manage multiple projects with varying deadlines.
• Ability to concurrently handle both co-/extra-curricular and curricular assignments.
•Present a professional appearance.
•Present positive image of the College of Coastal Georgia.
•Thorough knowledge of campus and community resources and facilities.
