Recruiter & Advisor Educational Talent Search
Schedules and meets with Educational Talent Search (ETS) participants during weekly in-school visits; conducts and assists with academic advising, assessment, and support services for students; completes and maintains grant records as required; meets regularly with students for tracking, mentoring, monitoring and academic advising; serves as a Student Advocate to ensure entrance and acceptance into higher education programs; advises student population to ensure persistence in ETS program and completion of rigorous curriculum; supervises and monitors tutoring sites; assists in planning and helping lead all student trips and activities; maintains student files; assists with and plans information sessions; utilizes and inputs data in the online student database; identifies, recruits, selects, and provides services to eligible participants, including career counseling; provides information on post-secondary opportunities; helps participants complete post-secondary admissions applications and financial aid forms; and provides tutoring.
Bachelor’s degree in education, counseling, student services, or a related field required. At least two years of experience in counseling, teaching, or related experience required. Occasional evening and weekend work will be necessary. TRIO experience preferred.
