This position is responsible for effectively directing the daily maintenance activities and the departmental laundry services for Dining Services Operations to ensure that all facilities, equipment and vehicles are in good repair. Obtain, use and record P-card transactions for purchases that are appropriate, within guidelines and signed off in a timely manner.

Considerable knowledge of all Dining Services Department Buildings and all equipment frequently used to support daily maintenance activities. Knowledge of Procurement Rules and Regulations. Experience working with outside contractors and vendors.

Lift up to 50 lbs.

Constantly analyze all unit operations to ensure maximum effectiveness and compliance with departmental objectives.
Play a key role in the strategic planning process for the department; assist in development, implementation and evaluation of departmental policies, procedures, standards, goals, objectives, budget and marketing/public relations activities; participate in departmental and campus-wide special project activities.

Coordinate maintenance, repair, construction and renovation of facilities with external entities.

Supervise activities of assigned staff, including student, part-time and full-time employees.
Communicate effectively with guests, staff and community groups.
Participate in on-going training activities.
