Description:

University of Florida Department of Psychiatry & Addiction Medicine located in Vero Beach, Florida has an opening for an Adjunct Clinical Postdoctoral Associate, pursuing post-graduate training in Medical Psychology. This position is located in the beautifully tranquil coastal city of Vero Beach, Florida. Vero Beach is known for its cultural wealth and natural beauty. The Center is situated nearby Indian River Medical Center and is also part of the Mental Health Collaborative in Indian River County. Vero Beach presents with a modest cost of living and high quality of life.

Duties consist of clinical, teaching and research activities under the supervision of the Medical Psychology Division Faculty. Clinical responsibilities will include providing psychotherapy for the patients and their families, conducting assessments of children and adults, and working with various medical and graduate students. Individual will also assist the division faculty in instructional activities. Research responsibilities include using data generated by the facility as well as working on projects of your own. Excellent office space and computing resources are available. Travel expenses for interviews are not reimbursed. Our treatment team includes a Chief Adult Psychiatrist/ Medical Director, Chief of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry and a Senior Psychologist.


Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:
The successful applicant must hold a Ph.D. or Psy.D. from an APA approved graduate program.

Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred internship in Clinical Psychology with focus on child/adolescent psycho-educational assessment, family counseling, and adult psychotherapy. Psychometric and statistical skills are desirable.
