Senior Vice President for Collaborative Services
The Wisconsin Association of Independent Colleges and Universities (WAICU) is recognized in state law as the official organization of Wisconsin’s 23 private, nonprofit colleges and universities and their 52,000 students. WAICU seeks a new senior vice president for collaborative services to succeed Rodney Opsal who is retiring after 18 years of entrepreneurial leadership. WAICU has organized 48 cost-saving ventures with cumulative savings of over $200,000,000 for member colleges.
The senior vice president for collaborative services also serves as the COO of the WAICU Benefits Consortium, the WAICU Educational Technology Consortium, and the WAICU Retirement Readiness Collaboration.
This position reports to the WAICU president/CEO.
Controlling college costs by leveraging buying power and sharing “back office” services are top priorities. Experience with Group Purchasing Organizations is valued. Familiarity with nonprofit higher education and leadership experience is a plus.
