Purpose of Job

To teach courses in the Department of Fine Arts.

Scope of Responsibilities

The Adjunct Instructor will develop and deliver courses in the Department of Fine Arts. The candidate will be broadly trained in the areas of music, arts, humanities and speech.

Essential Job Functions

•Participate in academic services to the department, school and university

•Engage in activities related to the Fine Arts department

•Teach undergraduate courses in related areas as determined by qualifications and institutional needs

•Serve on department and university committees.

Qualifications Master Degree in Music, Arts, Speech Arts or any related discipline

Licensing and Certifications N/A

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

•Strong communication and interpersonal skills and commitment to collegiality and teamwork.

•Written/Verbal Presentation Skills: Documented or demonstrated skills or experiences which verify professional communication ability.

•Curriculum: Evidence of skills in relevant curriculum development and ability to lead the design and revision of curricula to maintain relevancy and meet changing needs.
