Summary

The Medical Research Specialist performs professional-technical tasks and participates in a variety of difficult research procedures and is responsible for conducting research to investigate the role of genome instability in atherosclerosis development for NIH-funded project. The candidate will be in charge of the designing and scheduling of experiments, as well as collating, organizing and presenting data.

The candidate will provide research assistance to Principal Investigator in the Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiology, and should be able to work independently under minimal supervision

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with emphasis in biological science / medicine.
• Direct research laboratory experience in cell culturing, animals, immunoblotting, ELISAs, and PCR.
• Familiarity with the standards for Appropriate Conduct of Research and Academic Integrity in Research

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 years direct research laboratory experience in cell culturing, animals, immunoblotting, ELISAs, and PCR
