The Department of Neurology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in the specific area of neuro-ophthalmology. A strong background in basic or clinical research is essential. Applicants should have existing or proposed extramural support to cover their research time. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Board eligible or board certified in Neurology.

Teaching responsibilities may include teaching students, residents and fellows.

Clinical responsibilities may include clinical neuro-ophthalmology practice and inpatient general neurology service.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include extramurally supported clinical or basic science research.

Applicants must have graduated from a fully accredited neurology residency and AUPO-certified neuro-ophthalmology fellowship. Advance degrees in the biomedical sciences, public health, or PhD are desirable. Candidate must be eligible for licensure in the State of Pennsylvania.
