The University of Pennsylvania, School of Veterinary Medicine seeks applicants for a Lecturer position in Equine Sports Medicine in the Department of Clinical Studies-New Bolton Center. The start date is July 1, 2020. The successful candidate must have a strong clinical aptitude for Equine Sports Medicine. Responsibilities include daytime clinical duty including but not limited to clinical service in equine lameness evaluation and diagnostics, poor performance in the athletic horse, upper and lower airway evaluations, high speed treadmill testing, pre-purchase evaluations, strong working knowledge of ancillary imaging (ultrasound, radiography, MR, CT, scintigraphy), and post injury management. Other responsibilities include participation in the teaching of veterinary students and residents; attendance and participation in scheduled rounds, seminars, laboratories and conferences and, as time permits, in ongoing research investigations in the areas of equine sports medicine and rehabilitation. Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment are strongly desired. Applicant must be a citizen of the United States of America, Canada, or Mexico or have permanent residency status in the USA.
