DescriptionThe University of Colorado at Colorado Springs(UCCS) is seeking applicants for a tenure/tenure-track faculty position inclinical psychology with specialized training and research interests ingeropsychology/aging.  The position willbegin August 2021 at the assistant or associate professor level in thePsychology Department. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Psychology or ClinicalPsychology from a university-affiliated APA-accredited clinical psychologyprogram, with evidence of research and clinical training in clinicalgeropsychology/aging. Interest in providing to clinical training leadership isdesirable.


UCCS faculty are committed to excellence inteaching and research, with the expectation that faculty maintain a productiveprogram of research with commitment to obtain external funding. Clinicalinstruction and supervision in the department’s community clinic (UCCS AgingCenter) may be part of the teaching load in addition to undergraduate andgraduate classes. Candidates must be eligible for Colorado licensure within oneyear of hire. The Psychology Department currently offers a BA program inPsychology, an MA program with tracks in Clinical Psychology and PsychologicalScience (with optional sub-plans), and a Clinical Psychology PhD with MajorAreas of Study in Geropsychology or Trauma Psychology (more information isavailable at https://www.uccs.edu/psych/). The new hire will join 4 clinicalgeropsychologists within the department.

QualificationsMinimum Requirements: 
  • Ph.D. in Psychology or Clinical Psychology from a university-affiliated APA-accredited clinical psychology program

Preferred Requirements:
  • Evidence of research and clinical training in clinical geropsychology/aging.
