The Department of Dermatology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of Melanoma, pigmented lesions, Merkel cell cancer, squamous cell cancer, basal cell cancer, and rare tumors.
Teaching responsibilities may include residents in dermatology and other specialties caring for skin cancer; fellows in Mohs micrographic surgery and dermatologic oncology; medical students; trainees rotating from other countries or institutions.
Clinical responsibilities may include evaluation and treatment of patients with skin cancer, particularly those with a high-risk of recurrence or metastasis. Clinical responsibilities will focus on growing the Penn Dermatology Oncology Center's specialty clinics, including the Pigmented Lesion Clinic, the Rare and Inherited Skin Cancer Clinic, and the High-Risk Skin Cancer Clinic for Organ Transplant Recipients and Immunosuppressed Patients.
Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Applicant must be board certified or board eligible in Dermatology. Skin cancer expertise, proven by publications, invited lectures, or clinical experience, strongly preferred.
The successful applicant will have experience in the field of Dermatology with focus on cutaneous oncology and skin cancers at increased risk for recurrence or metastasis.
