Postdoctoral Research Associate

We invite highly motivated, dedicated applicants for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position to conduct innovative research at the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics (AREC) of the University of Tennessee. The successful candidate is expected to conduct problem-oriented and policy-relevant research that develops computational and econometric models to evaluate the multi-criteria of sustainable resource management, with application to bioenergy supply chains.

Salary and benefits:
Competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. This is a grant funded position for approximately one year with the potential for renewal for an additional year based on continued funding and satisfactory performance.



Qualifications
Qualifications: Ph.D. in agricultural economics, environmental & resource economics, forest economics, or closely related field. The successful candidate will have excellent quantitative analysis and communication skills and a willingness to work in multidisciplinary teams. Experience in computational methods linking economic models with biogeochemical and hydrological models, econometric methods, and stochastic optimization is desired. Working knowledge in geographic information systems and experience in mathematical programming using GAMS is preferred. Candidates in the process of obtaining PhD will be considered but degree must be conferred by time of hire.
