Department Summary:The department offers a unique undergraduate program in Biomedical Engineering that allows a student of the program to major in Biomedical Engineering, minor in mathematics and minor in an additional area of engineering. Thus, a student graduating from the 120 SCH program will be well rounded and have the engineering skills and expertise to work in industry, hospitals, or research institutions or to become a motivated entrepreneur.
Position Summary:The Department of Biomedical Engineering seeks qualified individuals for its Adjunct Instructor pool and welcomes applicants at any time. This posting is for the Fall 2020, Spring 2021 and Summer 2021 semesters. The specific courses involved may vary from semester to semester and openings to teach these courses develop on a periodic basis, depending on department teaching needs.
The anticipated need is for Undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Biomechanics, Biomaterials, Biomedical Modeling, Biomedical Instrumentation,
Clinical Instrumentation, Biomedical Optics, Biomedical Imaging, FDA Regulations, Quality Control of Medical Devices.
MS in Biomedical Engineering or related field, with work/research experience.
Preferred Qualifications:PhD in Biomedical Engineering with work/research experience or extensive work experience in Biomedical Engineering field.
