Job Description

Please Note:

This job announcement is not an offer of employment. This requisition has been established to collect a robust candidate pool for part-time positions that may become available within the designated discipline at CSN. If a part-time position becomes available within the discipline, the hiring department will review the application material of the candidates who have applied and will invite select candidates to interview based on their qualifications. Should a candidate be selected for a part-time instructor position, no minimum course load is guaranteed and teaching assignments, if any, are contingent upon various factors, including but not limited to, minimum student enrollment and/or department need. No reimbursement for travel expenses will be provided to local or out of area/out of state candidates and there is no guarantee of continued or future part-time and/or full-time employment.

Core Responsibilities

 

 

  • Set instructional end goals and create content that matches them
  • Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhance the learning process
  • Analyze and apply trends and best practices in learning technologies, instructional design, and principles of adult learning
  • Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games, etc.) as necessary
  • Devise modes of assessment to measure student learning and the effectiveness of the course

 


Required Qualifications

 

 

  • Previous working experience in instructional design or curriculum development
  • Knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
  • Lesson and curriculum planning skills
  • Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, and possibly audio and video scripts
  • Bachelor's Degree in instructional design, educational technology, or similar relevant field OR equivalent work experience

 


Preferred Qualifications

 

 

  • Master's Degree in instructional design, educational technology, or similar relevant field
  • Experience working with a diverse/multicultural student body and/or workforce

 


Salary Range

$25.00 - $35.00 an hour
