Job Summary

Applicants must be enrolled at Clayton State University for both the Fall 2020 and Spring 2021 semesters to be considered for the internship. All majors will be considered. Below is a job description for the internship:

Athletics Assistants will provide general support to the Clayton State Department of Athletics, primarily in the areas of game day operations and event and facility management. The University Internship Program Initiative is part of the Laker Bridge to Completion Program, funded by a Predominantly Black Institution Formula Grant through the U.S. Department of Education.

  • Assist with the setup and breakdown of athletics facilities for athletics events;
  • Assist with game day operations in the areas of ticketing, ball running, press box needs, scores table needs, concessions stand, and other various game day duties as assigned;
  • Assistant with maintaining Athletics facilities and other facility duties assigned by the Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities;
  • Assist with special athletics projects, including special events, as assigned;
  • Assist with creating and generating social media content;
  • Assist with monitoring study hall sessions (when needed);
  • Assist various sports coaches with office needs or requests regarding team needs;
  • All other duties as assigned.
