Position Summary:

The Management and Human Resources Department in the Wisconsin School of Business seeks a full-time, nine-month, tenure track appointment (Assistant Professor) to begin August 23, 2021. We especially seek candidates conducting research and prepared to teach in the field of organizational behavior. The position would be responsible for teaching graduate and undergraduate students in management and related fields, conducting scholarly research and performing university service.

The department of Management and Human Resources prepares people for careers in entrepreneurship, leadership and/or human resources. Our progressive curriculum based on current research is taught by award winning faculty. Degree programs are designed to create superior educational experiences for undergraduate, masters, and PhD students. Areas of faculty expertise and research include compensation, human resources, motivation, workforce diversity, entrepreneurship, organizational learning and innovation, and strategy. The department includes the Weinert Center for Entrepreneurship, the Bolz Center for Arts Administration and the MBA specialization in Strategic Human Resources.

We are also proud to be part of a great university with excellent resources available to both faculty and students. The Wisconsin School of Business offers degrees in Management, Human Resources, and Entrepreneurship, at the undergraduate, masters, and PhD level. The School currently enrolls approximately 2,800 undergraduates (freshmen to senior level), 400 masters

Principal Duties:

- Create and maintain a strong program of research
- Teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in the Wisconsin School of Business
- Provide classroom and individual instruction for undergraduate and graduate degree-seeking
students
- Contribute to the intellectual and academic life of the department. University and community
service will be expected as appropriate.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

Ph.D. in Management & Human Resources or related field required by start date.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

Well qualified applicants will have demonstrated high quality research with publications in top
tier journals, and will have demonstrated excellence in teaching.Candidates with new or
anticipated Ph.D. degrees will have research under way that is likely to result in one or more
publications in top tier journals, and will have presentation skills that suggest future
excellence in teaching.
