Adjunct Positions – History or Related Field
The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the Cooper Union is seeking applications from qualified candidates to teach a section of The Making of Modern Society. The course is a survey of global history from the late-eighteenth century to the present.
While the typical candidate will be a historian, applicants with Ph.Ds. or ABD’s in related fields are also encouraged to apply. Candidates with specializations in the study of Africa or the Atlantic World are especially welcome.
The course is offered as the third component of the Core sequence, required of all students.
Classes begin on Monday, August 31st and end December 18th. Three contact hours per week including attendance at a team-taught lecture on Mondays. All teaching will be online for Fall 2020.

PhD or ABD degree in History or a related discipline and demonstrated strong teaching record required. This is a unionized position.
