Department Summary:

The department of Microbiology, Immunology & Genetics is currently home to 27 faculty members. Specific research interests of our faculty include neuroinflammation; HIV-1 biology; fluorescence spectroscopy and imaging; cardiac muscle function; regulation of eukaryotic gene expression; T cell and NK cell biology; host response to infections; molecular immunology; tumor immunology; cytokine biology; vision research; and molecular diagnostics for emerging vector borne pathogens.

Position Summary:

Department of Microbiology, Immunology & Genetics is seeking qualified individuals to teach graduate level courses in Clinical Research Management in Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences as Adjunct Faculty. The Clinical Research Management curriculum focuses on providing students a broad-based view of the biomedical sciences, as well as an in depth knowledge of regulatory requirements (CFR, GCP), ethical issues, and both the medical writing and administrative skills necessary to conduct clinical research. The selected individual will be required to teach the students enrolled in the online MS in Clinical Research Management for Clinical Data Management course. This new online course on Clinical data management will provide critical concepts and practical methods to support planning, collection, storage, and dissemination of data in clinical research.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Master’s degree or PhD in Biomedical Science or MD/MBBS with ECFMG certification
• 3 – 5 years of Clinical research experience in the industry

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in design, development, implementation, instructions and evaluation of clinical data and training programs for clinical research teams.
• Experience in developing course materials and question banks.
