Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit:

The Department of Management offers two undergraduate majors, in International Business, and Business Administration with concentrations in Business Studies (face-to-face and online), Human Resources, and Management; an online Master of Science in International Business; an online PhD in Business Administration (with concentrations in International Business, Organizational Behavior, and Strategy); and contributes to delivering the undergraduate business core and the MBA program. Our faculty members are very active in research and have published in such journals as Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Learning & Education, Academy of Management Review, Administrative Science Quarterly, Harvard Business Review, Human Relations, Industrial & Organizational Psychology, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Management, Journal of Management Studies, Leadership Quarterly, Management Science, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, and Strategic Management Journal, to name a few.

Position Summary:

The Department of Management in the Bryan School of Business & Economics at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG) invites applications, expressions of interest, and nominations for one full-time opening in the Department of Management. The position will commence on August 1, 2021, at the rank of Assistant Professor (tenure-track).

The opening is in the Strategy area. Related teaching experience and evidence of successful high-quality refereed journal scholarship will be considered favorably. The ability to tie one’s teaching and research to key elements of our mission (problem solving, innovation, globalization, sustainability, and ethics) will also be considered positively. The selected candidate must be prepared to teach face-to-face and online courses, depending on the Department’s needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants should hold a PhD degree from an AACSB or EQUIS accredited institution. ABDs who are assured of completion by August 1, 2021, may be considered.
