Nature of Work

The PRA will be responsible for the implementation and on-going management of research protocols. This includes: initial protocol review and discussions with the PI and sponsors to determine eligibility and feasibility requirements; IRB preparation and submission; budget development and contract negotiations; execution and management of all study related procedures that includes but is not limited to screening and consenting of eligible patients, maintaining source documentation, submitting any adverse event  reports (as needed), and completion of case report forms.

Examples of Work Performed
  • The PRA will assume responsibility for initiating, supporting and participating in education of patients as related to the research protocols.
  • The PRA will be responsible for paying all of the bills/fees associated with the study and maintain a log of expenses for accounting purposes. The coordinator will also be responsible for the submission of invoices to sponsors and will ensure that payments are received in the appropriate accounts.
  • The PRA will be required to maintain clinical expertise including clinical assessment of patients.
  • The PRA will consistently demonstrate excellent communication skills and professional interactions with patients, colleagues and all members of the health care team.
  • The PRA will demonstrate ability to work autonomously by managing assigned protocols and caseload independently.
  • The PRA will actively participate as a member of the team toward achievement of study goals.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    Proficiency in IRB submissions, budget development and contract negotiations; execution and management of all study related procedures.

     

    Salary and Benefits:

    The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $45,000 - $65,000.

    The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

    The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
