Virus Treatment and Prevention Unit. The Unit is tasked with conducting treatment and prevention clinical trials against
SARS CoV 2, the causative agent of COVID 19 disease. The unit will perform a high volume of clinical research at a fast
pace in an effort to rapidly identify new therapeutics and prevention strategies, including COVID vaccines on expedited
schedules.
This position is contingent upon funding.Job Description
Recruitment responsibilities include: Innovating methods of identifying potentially eligible, interested and diverse research subjects based on active panel of studies; communicating accurate protocol related information with identified subjects by telephone or electronic platforms; designing pre-screen instruments for active studies; conducting and documenting prescreens; maintaining database and scheduling systems for study prescreen and screening visits; assist with generation of reports on screening activities; interacting with clinical and data teams regularly to refine and improve processes. Retention responsibilities include: Design and maintain system for prevention of missed visits; tracking and follow up on missed visits in COVID 19 research studies; communicating retention related issues with clinical and data teams regularly to anticipate retention issues, refine and improve processes; assist with generation of retention reports. Work for this project will be conducted on university campuses, throughout Philadelphia and surrounding areas and multiple community based venues where potential study participants may gather, as well as, in-office administrative and telephone work.
Qualifications
H.S. Diploma or GED Required, with 1-2 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
