Advertised Job Summary:

The School of Journalism and Mass Communications at The University of South Carolina invites applicants for a one-year appointment as an Instructor of Advertising for the 2020-2021 academic year beginning August 17, 2020. This temporary hire will teach four courses each in the Fall and Spring semesters and one Summer course.

Qualifications:

We seek candidates with demonstrated capabilities in creative strategy and execution, proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. Courses may include instruction in copy writing, art direction, creative strategy, digital content creation, campaign planning and special topics. This is an undergraduate-focused teaching position in the School’s Advertising Sequence with no expectation of service, committee work or research. Applicants must have a Master’s degree and advertising industry experience.
